Our Story

We married exactly one year after our first date. Not because we had a good relationship, but because we thought getting married would create a framework in which we could sort out our problems and move towards the goals we had for our lives.

But as we hit the honeymoon, the rate of disintegration accelerated. Within months we were pretty convinced that we had made the biggest mistake of our lives and began to consider divorce. At the same time we were painfully aware that if we did not face our own brokenness and seek emotional healing and change then we would simply carry the same problems into the next relationship. So we hung in there.

Help came from complete strangers – Christian leaders in a church we visited. They listened as we explained how our marriage had fallen apart in less than six months. The second evening we met they offered us the opportunity to move in with their family and undergo a period of intensive counseling and what they called discipleship. This means learning to put into practice the beliefs that we thought we held as followers of Jesus.

We learnt many valuable foundational lessons during that time, but some of the problems persisted for another 6 months until we sought and received deliverance ministry in some key areas. Deliverance is a supernatural intervention of God that sets us free from things that drive us to destructive behavior. After this we found ourselves hitting a brick wall less often and found it easier to put into practice all the other things we were learning in our relationship and walk with God.

In Summer 2008 while in Lakeland, Florida we experienced more healing and restoration and witnessed hundreds of miraculous healings firsthand. This encounter with the power of God was so intense that we decided to “go public” with our testimony and begin to share the healing with have received with others.
